While voting is underway today in Delhi-NCR, the weather department has issued a yellow alert due to severe heat conditions. On Friday, Delhi-NCR experienced high temperatures accompanied by strong winds. Saturday is expected to bring even more intense heat to the region.

The extreme heat in Delhi-NCR has been causing significant discomfort for residents. Clear skies and scorching heat are anticipated on Saturday, with the addition of a heatwave blowing at speeds of 25-35 km/h. The minimum temperature is forecasted to be around 31°C, while the maximum temperature could reach up to 44°C. The heat index is expected to range between 51 and 53. Given these conditions, the weather department has issued a yellow alert. On Friday, the heat index in Delhi reached 50.8.

**Bihar**

The weather in Bihar has been fluctuating continuously. On Friday, the severe heat left residents struggling, although the night brought some slight relief. According to the weather department, another change in weather is expected by the end of May. Despite this, the intense heat will persist in the state. The moist easterly winds from the Bay of Bengal will cause occasional cloud cover. Rain is expected in one or two places in Vaishali and Sheohar today. By Saturday afternoon, partial cloud cover is anticipated across the state, although the weather will generally remain stable.

The average temperature in Bihar is predicted to stay between 38°C and 42°C. Some areas in Bihar might experience rain, particularly in the northern-central parts like Sitamarhi, Madhubani, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Vaishali, Sheohar, Samastipur, and the northeastern regions like Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj, Madhepura, Saharsa, Purnia, and Katihar, where scattered showers are expected in one or two places.

**Uttar Pradesh**

The heat in Uttar Pradesh has made life extremely difficult for the residents. The ongoing heatwave and warm nights have left people unable to sleep comfortably. On Saturday, cloud cover is expected in eastern Uttar Pradesh, bringing some cooler winds, while a heatwave alert has been issued for western Uttar Pradesh. In the western districts, the temperature is forecasted to hover around 43°C, whereas in the eastern districts, the maximum temperature will be around 39°C. Eastern Uttar Pradesh will experience winds blowing at speeds of 20-30 km/h, but the heatwave will continue to affect the western part of the state.
