Samsung’s new cell phones will be more resistant to scratches and falls

Tech news

Corning has confirmed that the devices will be better protected thanks to the new Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

Samsung has already confirmed that it will officially introduce the Galaxy S23 series on February 1, but thanks to recurring leaks, there is little left to know about the new devices.

Meanwhile, the manufacturer of protective glass for cell phones – Corning – has announced that the new generation of its Gorilla Glass will be present in Samsung’s upcoming phones. According to Corning, Gorilla Glass Victus 2 will be present in the three models that the South Korean company will introduce next week.

Naturally, this Gorilla Glass Victus 2 should provide additional protection to the screens of the new phones – both when it comes to scratches and also in accidental drops.

“We are proud to continue our long partnership with Samsung and to have our latest innovations play an important role in Samsung’s new Galaxy phones,” said Corning vice president and ‘general manager’ David Velasquez.
