New Delhi :On the issue of dividing United India into two, National Conference President Farooq Abdullah blamed Jawahar Lal Nehru, Maulana Azad and Sardar Patel for this division.
For the partition of the Union of India, former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir targets Pakistan founder Mohammad Ali Jinnah who gave his huge participation in the the partition.
Earlier, A commission was made for the decision of the partition and in that commission, it has been decided that it will not divide India into parts and it will have a special representation for Muslims and other minorities like Sikhs too, but the nation would never be divided.
Mr Abdullah alleged on the partition that, "Jinnah agreed to this, but Nehru, Azad and Patel did not listen. This led to the foundation of Pakistan by Jinnah. Let us not forget that a committee was constituted by some Muslim intellectuals who had vehemently opposed the idea of partition."
He said while addressing a rally, "A very large majority of Muslim community was not in favour of this partition. Mr Abdullah was not only trying to please his vote bank but also triggering communal passions."
Abdullah ignored to tell audience that the demand for Pakistan was made by Jinnah much earlier in 1940 at the Lahore Resolution.
