Last night box office had four new releases. Machine which is directed by Abbas-Mustan, Rajkumar Rao’s ‘Trapped’, Govinda’s 'Aa Gya Hero' and Hollywood biggie Amma Watson’s ‘Beauty And The Beast’. Despite four released this week only ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ and 'Beauty And The Beast' live up to the expectations this weekend. While ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ makes huge money. Audience ignored Machine and Aa Gya Hero and gave a chance to Raj Kumar Rao’s Trapped.
‘Machine’ which is directed by ace director duo Abbas-Mustan. The action thriller did not live up to the expectations. It was a disappointment for the producer that its single day collection were in lakhs. It collected around 1.70 in the opening weekend.
Second release of the week is ‘Trapped’ which stars Raj Kumar Rao. It collected 30 lacs on first day and 50 lacs on its second day. Despite good reviews films niche genre is also responsible for its low collection. Also the movie doesn’t have an interval not even a single song.
Another release of the week is ‘Aa Gya Hero’ and ‘Beauty And The Beast’. While Aa Gya Hero is going in same manner As other ‘flop’ movies. Hollywood biggie is doing decent business at the boxoffice. The Amma Stone starrer ‘Beauty And The Beast’ collected around six crore at the Indian boxoffice.
Beside all these releases ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ came out as clear winner. After the one week of its release BKD still continued to dominate the boxoffice. It collected around 17 crore in its second weekend. Hence it collected 88.77 crore in the domestic market.
