On Saturday, At “Patriots Day” rally in Berkeley, California Hundreds of pro-Trump demonstrators and counter-protesters clashed. This fighting broke down as people were calling on the US President to release his tax returns.
At least 21 people have been reportedly arrested and several people were injured when fighting broke out. Both the groups threw rocks and sticks at each other and police used many means to stop the people from harming each other. Hundreds of people came together for the rally and it turns out to be sometimes rash.
This is the third time the protesters and supporters of trump engaged in such a violent incidents on city streets in recent months.
About 250 police officers were present at the scene by mid-afternoon and after officials also soughted assistance from the neighboring Oakland Police Department to control the protest.
Some suspicion people are also arrested who assaulted with a deadly weapon, according to Officer Byron White of the Berkeley Police Department. Eleven people were injured with at least six taken to a hospital for treatment, including one stabbing victim.
Police also confiscated knives, stun guns and poles from the crowd.
