Tottenham Hotspur And England Can Cope Without Harry Kane – Shearer

Mauricio Pochettino side Tottenham Hotspur showed in Sunday's victory over Southampton that they can cope without the injured striker Harry Kane - and England should do the same this same.

England coach Gareth Southgate has named three forwards in his team for Wednesday's friendly against Germany and Sunday's World Cup qualifier versus Lithuania - Jermain Defoe, Jamie Vardy and Marcus Rashford.

The Lithuania match is the more crucial one, but it should not make any difference which of them starts it.

Gareth Southgate side England are top of Group F and in a strong position to reach Russia but, as long as they get there.

Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford is playing for the Red Devil, and in a central role, at the moment because of forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic's suspension.
