WhatsApp clarifies Its Updated Version Of Privacy Policy, Claims It Will Not Affect The Privacy Of Messages
New Delhi: Amid unstoppable rumours and speculations for Facebook-owned messaging service privacy policy, now whatsapp has issued another clarification.
WhatsApp has said the change in its recently updated policy doesn't affect privacy of messages with friends or family. The data sharing will happen between Facebook Business and WhatsApp Business accounts. People who use this social messenger for messaging and not for business purposes will remain unaffected.
"We want to address some rumours and be 100% clear we continue to protect your private messages with end-to-end encryption. Our privacy policy update does not affect the privacy of your messages with friends or family," WhatsApp clarified on Twitter.

It says, WhatsApp cannot see your private messages or hear your calls and neither can Facebook.
WhatsApp does keep logs of who everyone is messaging or calling.
WhatsApp cannot see your shared location and neither can Facebook.
WhatsApp does not share your contacts with Facebook.
WhatsApp groups remains private.
You can set your messages to disappear.
You can download your data.
WhatsApp had recently updated its new privacy policy which stated that the app will share the data with Facebook. It also added that if the new terms were not accepted, at the given date which is 8 feb, it would result in deletion of the user's personal account.
The Whatsapp privacy policy will come into effect from next month that is February 8, 2021. Amid new privacy policy users are shifting to other messages apps, such as signal and Telegram.
