New Delhi: Today the Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal tweeted that Apple has started "manufacturing" the iPhone 11 in India. As reported by the Economic Times, the manufacture of the iPhone 11 has already begun in the Foxconn plant in Chennai.
In the phases, the production of the handset will reportedly be stepped. The report also added that to minimize the dependence on China, the Cupertino-based tech company might even consider exporting Made in India phones.

The report reveals as for the pricing Apple might slash iPhone 11 prices in India in the future as the local production is saying Apple 22 percent on import duty. The prices, for now, remain unchanged.
Apple in addition to this reportedly considering starting the manufacture of iPhone SE at the Western plant in Bangalore. Prior to iPhone 11, Apple already manufactures iPhone XR at Foxconn plant and iPhone 7 at the Wistron factory.
In October last year, Apple started making the iPhone XR locally in the country.
