Actress Esha Deol thanked her younger sister Ahana for hosting the "most fun-filled baby shower" for her.

Esha, who is expecting her first child with husband Bharat Takhtani, tweeted a photo of the couple in which she is seen kissing him

"Ahana thanks for hosting the most fun filled baby shower! And all my friends a big hug for making it a superhit," Esha captioned the image which she posted on Twitter on Tuesday.

Ahana, along with their common friend Varun Kapoor, hosted the party on August 27 setting the theme of the party to 1970s to 1990s retro music.

They planned it with lavender themed invites, balloons, floral arrangements, assorted candies and personalised banners with a special lavender-based chocolate Belgium cake, with a miniature version of a vintage perambulator o top.

Hydro-mocktails and cocktails, with Awadhi and Mughlai dishes were also served.

The special thematic baby shower party also included fun games like tug of war, measure the mummy's waist guess, diaper pasting games and more. The theme included guests wearing blue if they guessed it was a boy or pink if they guessed it was a girl.

Ahana also ensured return gifts for the guests like customised bracelets for all, pocket square for boys and scarf for girls, special double ChocĂł-chip and salted caramel cookies.

Ahana said in a statement: "I wanted to do this for Esha because she threw a surprise baby shower party for me. So, I decided to do the same for her. As sisters, these are the fun girly moments in our life. Thanks to Bharat for sneakily getting me the measurements of Esha for the gown and managing to keep it a surprise for her."

MUMBAI:  Actress Disha Patani says if she feels that going bald for a role will "benefit the narrative" of a project, she might go ahead with it.

"To think of it, my decision will be based on how passionate I am about the script. If I strongly feel it will benefit the narrative, I will go ahead with it." Disha told IANS when asked if she will ever shave her head if the character demands.

Talking about why actresses are not so fond of experimenting with hair looks, the "M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story" actress said: "Most of the actresses have multiple commitments -- from films to endorsements -- that require us to maintain a particular look over a long period.

"Hence, there is never an opportunity to experiment with hair so we just settle for neutral look we can work with across projects."

Disha, ambassador of Garnier Color Naturals, also says that as an actor, her hair gets exposed to various chemicals and serums, so it is more important to take care of it on a regular basis.

"I think colouring your hair is the best way to get a new look," she said, adding that she oils her hair regularly as it not only makes them stronger but also nourishes them from within.

"Since childhood, my mother made sure I oiled my hair and conditioned them properly every week. I still follow that regimen. Plus, I have naturally good quality hair," added Disha

Actress Ileana D'Cruz, who is playing a queen in a royal family of Rajasthan in the upcoming film "Baadshaho", says some sequences of the movie were shot in a real "filthy" prison and that added to her performance.

Sharing her experience of shooting in the multi-starrer film, Ileana told IANS here: "My character Geetanjali is based on a real character from Rajasthan's royal family. I found the character very interesting, so was the shooting process. As my character goes through a journey, various emotional ups and down points of them, one of the memorable shooting experiences was during the shoot in a filthy jail.

"It was quite a suffocating space where we shot. Interestingly, my character was also going through a suffocating phase of her life in the film. So I think shooting in the filthy prison added to my performance in the film. Oh God... There was some weird stink... But the whole atmosphere added some authenticity to the character," said the actress.

Set in 1975, during the time of Emergency, the story of "Baadshaho" -- directed by Milan Luthria -- revolves around a royal family, how their property and tons of gold were looted by the government and how Geetanjali with the help of some of her close subordinates, struggles to rescue the gold.

According to Ileana, this is one of the rare characters she is portraying that is quite close to her personality.

"You know, Geetanjali (her character name in the film) goes through a lot of troubles without losing her cool because she is a strong woman, sure in her head about what she wants and how she will get that. There are some similarities in my journey too.

"Fortunately, I have a very good upbringing that makes me a strong person, I know what I want from life and I never settled for less," said Ileana, who earlier featured in "Barfi!" and "Rustom".

After debuting in Telugu film "Devadasu" and cementing her space in southern filmdom, Ileana entered Bollywood in 2012 with Anurag Basu's "Barfi!".

Though she does not come from a film family, in a gradual process, she manages to find a way to see the potential of a good script for her.

"Either you like or dislike a story when you hear it... That is very instinctive. But when it comes to the relevance of my role in the film, I take that character away from the story and see if still the story looks complete without that character. If not, then is it an important character of the story that I am being offered? Then only, I say 'yes' to a film," Ileana said.

While her last release "Mubarakan" turned out to be commercially successful and she played a quirky character, according to her, "Geetanjali is the polar opposite of Sweety and that is why I am feeling a pressure to get an acceptance in such a grey, badass role."

Produced by Bhushan Kumar, "Baadshaho" also features Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi, Esha Gupta and Vidyut Jammwal. It is releasing on Friday.

Actress Nargis Fakhri has taken a jibe at the pregnancy rumours and said that she is not expecting a baby.

Nargis was spotted with what looked like a baby bump at the airport here on Friday.

In some photographs on social media, the actress can be seen hiding her face from the paparazzi.

However, she took to Twitter to clarify that her weight gain is just because of eating.

"Here you go. I'll do the job for you. And no I'm not pregnant. Ok maybe it's a hamburger baby. But, don't tell the hamburglar," Nargis wrote alongside a photograph of herself. She also shared a screenshot of the dress from fashion label Zadig & Voltaire.

Nargis was last seen on screen in 2016 film "Banjo".

Actress Neha Dhupia, who lives alone in Mumbai, says she is very finicky when it comes to keeping her house clean.

Neha belives that if a person's home and surroundings "smell good", it turns out to be an "instant mood lifter".

"I live alone in Mumbai, which means that the upkeep of the house is entirely my responsibility. I'm very finicky about keeping my house clean and I hate it when there are any types of lingering smells in the house," Neha told IANS in an email interaction.

"I have an open kitchen, which means the aroma of food spreads to the living and dining area and gradually to the entire home. The food smell is aromatic during meal-time but after that it turns into a something that lingers unwantedly, and I don't want my home to smell of food all through the day especially when my friends come over in the evening," added Neha, who was here to promote Ambi Pur's trade marked odour-clear technology.

The host of "#NoFilterNeha", which is a no-holds barred audio show, also stressed on "nose-blindness", where the sense of smell adjusts to the prevailing odours.

"We become immune to them. But, just because you cannot sense it anymore, doesn't mean that your visitors or guests can't."

Katrina Kaif's latest Instagram posts have you seen yet? You should, they are very educational. The 34-year-old actress posted a set of three pictures of herself, each with a single word superimposed across them. The words are - Anoesis, Oneirataxia and Meliorism. Katrina's followers instantly reached for the dictionary (so did we, in all honesty) and at least one of them seemed to know or had looked up the word 'meliorism.'

Here you see the meaning of the words - anoesis: a state of pure sensation or emotion; oneirataxia: inability to tell between dream and reality; meliorism: the belief that we can make the world a better place.

Rather lovely descriptions to match the utterly ethereal pictures that Katrina Kaif posted, don't you think? No captions needed.

Here is what Katrina has posted:

We just can't stop looking at this old picture of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan, taken and posted by photographer Atul Kasbekar, and neither can the rest of the Internet. The post has been trending since yesterday, possibly because it reminds us just why Aishwarya and Abhishek are just fabulous together. This, while their five-year-old daughter Aaradhya is also trending, separately, for being super cute in pictures taken at the airport - she flew home with mom from Melbourne recently. Back to Atul Kasbekar's post, which he captioned: "Just a beautiful candid moment from some time ago between two lovely people. I love this image."

The Internet agrees. "This pic shows genuine love," "Abhishek, you and the Mrs are so adorable," are some of the comments on the post. Our favourite - "My dream couple. Aishwarya and Abhishek look so exquisitely stunning together! Such an adorable picture."

This is the best thing you will see online today:

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan married in 2007 and Aaradhya was born in 2012. Aishwarya almost never travels without her daughter, who has been accompanying her mother to Cannes since she was a baby. Aishwarya and Aaradhya attended the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne last weekend and hoisted the Indian flag together.

Actress Kriti Sanon, who stars in Bareilly Ki Barfi, says that the film industry tends to 'typecast' actors, reports news agency PTI. Kriti Sanon debuted in Bollywood opposite Tiger Shroff in Heropanti and followed it up Dilwale opposite Varun Dhawan and co-starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. She has also featured in two Telugu films - 1: Nenokkadine(also her big screen debut) and Dohchay. "It isn't so much about getting meaty roles as it is about getting typecast.  I was like, but how do you know what I like when I myself don't know about it. They think 'oh she has done commercial roles so maybe she likes only this or can do only this'," Kriti told PTI.
Kriti Sanon was last seen opposite Sushant Singh Rajput in Raabta, which was partly a period piece. Of the film's failure, Kriti told PTI: "As long as you're trying something new and not being safe, it's okay to fail. It's disheartening when a film fails but you can't just stop there. I've taken so much from Raabta. I've improved so much as a person, as an actor, post the film."
Talking about Bareilly Ki Barfi, Kriti said she was dressed quite casually - in an oversized t-shirt with her hair tied in a loose bun - when director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari came for a narration. "I've never played a small town girl before. Picking up the dialect was refreshing. I didn't have to wear much make up, was wearing clothes I could sleep in. I used to sleep more because I used to take lesser time than the guys to get ready," said Kriti.

Bareilly Ki Barfi also stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Rajkummar Rao.
