Today, at the UN Court the final Jurisdiction for Kulbhushan Jadhav’s case took place in which India got a relief, and Pakistan is ordered by the ICJ to ensure that Kulbhushan Jadhav is not executed until it takes a final decision on India's charge that Pakistan violated its obligations under an international treaty guaranteeing diplomatic help to foreigners accused of capital crimes.
The 11 judges agreed with India that there was urgency in the case, and noted that Pakistan had given no assurance that Mr Jadhav would not be executed till its verdict.
Kulbhushan Jadhav was arrested from Balochistan in March 2016, Pakistani officials claimed he had confessed to spying for Indian intelligence services. He was sentenced to death last month.
After today’s decision Sushma Swaraj showed the happiness and support for Kulbhushan Jadhav’s case through a tweet, she tweeted,
Sushma Swaraj even had words with Prime Minister Narendra Modi over phone regarding the victory for Kulbhushan Jadhav’s case.
If we take you little back Sushma Swaraj has said earlier about the case is that, “We have no choice but to regard the sentence, if carried out, as an act of premeditated murder. Our position on the matter is very clear. There is no evidence of wrongdoing by Kulbhushan Jadhav,” foreign minister Sushma Swaraj told Rajya Sabha.
It is a big Victory to India for Kulbhushan Jadhav’s case.
