VARANASI:  Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in his parliamentary constituency Varanasi on a two-day visit, his first after the BJP's massive victory in Uttar Pradesh election held in March this year. PM Modi, who will launch several projects covering sectors such as infrastructure, railways, financial inclusion and sanitation on this trip, said "development is the solution to all the problems". The PM, through a video link, flagged off Mahamana Express that connects Varanasi with Surat and Vadodara in Gujarat.

  1. "Our weavers need a global market and that will enhance their economic prospects significantly," PM Modi said after inaugurating a facilitation centre for weavers in Varanasi.
