Superstar Rajnikanth’s “ 2.0” is already making huge money and breaking records before its release. Rajnikanth and Akshay sci-fi thriller satellite rights have been sold to ZEE Network for whopping Rs 110 crore.
"It's an unprecedented deal. The price of combined Indian satellite rights for the film for all the languages (Hindi, Tamil and Telugu) is Rs 110 crore. We are very happy to associate with Zee Network for the project," Raju Mahalingam, creative head of Lyca Productions, told PTI.
The movie in which Akshay kumar is playing the role of Antagonist is sequal to the 2010 blockbuster ‘‘Enthiran’’ directed by S Shanker. It was highest grossing tamil movie of that time.
Reportedly Rajnikanth’s “2.0” is the most expensive movie of Indian cinema made at a whopping budget of Rs 400-450 cr. It also have the potential to break lifetime earnings record of Aamir Khan’s PK (₹792 crore).
Now it’s a wrap-up for the Rajnikanth starrer “2.0” only one song is left to be shot. Since the film will have best of Visual effects and producer are spending a bomb on that. It would take around seven month to complete the VFX. While many 3D films in India are shot on 2D camera and then converted to 3D in the studios.
But “2.0” is shot entirely by 3D Camera.
Amy Jackson, Sudanshu Pandey, Adil Hussain and Kalabhavan Shajohn are in supporting cast.
Music is given by Academy award winner A.R Rahman and directed by S Shanker. The sci-fi thriller will hit the theaters worldwide on October 18 during the festival of Diwali.
