Rajnath Singh: Chief Ministers Must Take Safety Of Kashmiris

Today, Rajnath Singh Home Minister has doomed the attack on Students of Kashmir in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan on Wednesday. Rajnath Singh stated that, "I appeal to all youngsters to treat them as their brothers, they are Indian citizens and members of our family."

 

At Mewar University Six Kashmiri students were thrashed by a group of local people on Wednesday. The trigger is not known said by the Police. The Kashmiri Students have minor injuries due to the attack. The attack took place at the time when the Kashmiri students were in the market, stated by the Police.

The group of four or five people allegedly attacked the Kashmiri Students. The group asked the name of the Kashmiri Students first and then asked from the Kashmiri Students where they are from and then they started thrashing the Kashmiri Student. This is been stated by Dinesh Kumar, Police Officer to the PTI. The attackers are still moving freely and not caught yet.

Last evening Home Minister Rajnath Singh learnt about the Kashmiri Student attack and said, "In one or two parts of India, people misbehaved with Kashmiri youth".

Further Rajnath Singh added by saying, "I appeal to Chief Ministers of all states to ensure that such incidents don't happen, they are equal citizens of India, and they have also greatly contributed to national security." Rajnath Singh had asked the Home Secretary to put out an advisory.

In Mewar University there are about 500 Kashmiri Students and 300 are from Jammu. Kashmiri Students were attacked at the Mewar University last year also, rumours for their attack was that the Kashmiri Students cooked beef in their Hostel Room.
