Rajinikanth Is Welcomed To Politics By The BJP Boss Amit Shah In BJP

Less than a direct confirmation from Rajinikanth, that he is contemplating a career in Politics, the Chief of BJP Amit Shah’s oblique welcome to the mega star is all the buzz.

 

 

 

When to enter in Politics can only be decided by Rajinikanth, at an even Amit Shah said that organised by India Today TV on Sunday, but added, "all good people are welcome to join politics." Mr Shah was asked to comment on the speculation which is immense around a new career for the star ever since he made several broad hints while with the fans in Chennai interaction last week, the last almost a vote appeal.

Rajinikanth who had fired a frenzy a day before by saying that he had no aspirations for politics but, ‘If the God Wills it, I will enter Politics tomorrow.” To the BJP’s invitation swiftly to join, he offered no comments. But he did not even say a no.

 

 

 

Claim by the BJP leader in Tamil Nadu That Rajinikanth is a natural fit in their party. The praise by the actor for the DMK leader MK Stalin last week was frowned upon by the state president of BJP Tamilisai Soundararajan, who said he was ideologically aligned with the BJP and that if he joins the party, it will be strengthened.

 

 

 

 

The BJP, which has so far a bit player in a dominated state by the regional giants, is looking to quickly expand its influence by filling a political vacuum created by the death of former chief minister J Jayalalithaa of the AIADMK last December and the illness that has brought 94-year-old DMK chief and Mr Stalin's father M Karunanidhi to retirement.

 

 

 

"I am unaware of any possible meeting between Rajinikanth and Prime Minister Narendra Modi," said by the union minister Venkaiah Naidu in Bengaluru yesterday, on reports that the two could meet this week. Mr Naidu added, "Rajnikanth is a great actor. Narendra Modi is a great leader. There is no problem if he (Rajnikanth) wants to meet the Prime Minister."

 

 

 

 

Earlier the Prime Minister has been praised by the Actor, who had three years ago visited Rajinikanth Poes Garden residence on a trip to Chennai.

 

 

 

Meanwhile, security has been tightened at Chennai home of the superstar after threat by fringe group protesting his comments on politics.
