The coming of Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Raees’ and Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Kaabil’ was already facing too many controversies and now they have clashed too on January 25 after hitting the screen after multiple date and time changes.
The clash seems to be one-sided with Shah Rukh Khan's film being ahead of the box office race by around Rs 20 crores. ‘Raees’ took the lead even on the Day 1.
Earlier, ‘Raees’ was scheduled to release on the Eid weekend of July 2016 but Shah Rukh Khan rescheduled the release due to Salman Khan's Sultan. Team Kaabil declared that they would bring their release on the evening of January 25, just a couple of days before the trailer of Raees was unveiled. Mr Rakesh Roshan (Kaabil's producer) announced that their film would open on the morning of January 25 while SRK too had announced the release of ‘Raees’ to happen on the morning of January 25.
SRK’s ‘Raees’ is a a story of a liquor baron Raees Alam, played by Shah Rukh Khan while ‘Kaabil’ is the story of a visually impaired man who seeks revenge for his wife (Yami Gautam's) murder. Both movies are liked by people considering the positive reviews by people so far.
