Trinamool Congress Exodus Continues MLA Shilbhadra Dutta Quits, Third Leader To Resign In Two Days

New Delhi: West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee's TMC has lost another MLA a day after two leaders quit the party. Trinamool MLA Shilbhadra Dutta quit this morning in the third exits in two days, worrying for the Bengal's ruling party ahead of the polls just five months away.

Suvendhu Adhikari and Jitendra Tiwari yesterday,handed in their resignations. The back-to-back exits come just ahead of the senior BJP leader Amit Shah's visit to Bengal.

Many rebels are expected to cross over the BJP with much the fanfare, in the presence of Amit Shah.Suvendu Adhikari is the big catch for the BJP who played a big role in TMC victory in 2016 Bengal election.

Mr. Adhikari is said to have control over the local leaders in more than 50 seats in western parts of the states. He quit the state cabinet last month after much bitterness over the induction.
