New Delhi: Twitter trends #IndiaGandhi as Congress Leader Shashi Tharoor shared a picture of Nehru & Indira Gandhi captioning the picture as "Nehru & India Gandhi". The trouble doesn't stop there, the leader also mentioned the place and year of the picture wrong, amid the tweets thousands of users started to comment, the information in the picture is not correct.
The tweet reads: "Nehru & India Gandhi in the US in 1954. Look at the hugely enthusiastic spontaneous turnout of the American public, without any special PR campaign, NRI crowd management or hyped-up media publicity." The tweet was an apparent dig at Howdy Modi event where thousands cheered for PM Narendra Modi.

Even if so, it still doesn't alter the message: the fact is that former PMs also enjoyed popularity abroad. He shared a picture of USSR mentioning US and in the year 1954, whereas the picture originally is from year 1956, tweets one user.
Later, the leader corrected himself about the place in a retweet which says "I am told this picture (forwarded to me) probably is from a visit to the USSR and not the US. Even if so, it still doesn't alter the message: the fact is that former PMs also enjoyed popularity abroad. When PM Narendra Modi is honoured; respect is for India.
