Rajasthan Political Crisis: Case Filed Against Union Minister, Rebel Congress MLA, Government Ordered Probe
New Delhi: Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has been named along with rebel Congress MLA Bhanwar Lal Sharma in an FIR over allegation of the conspiracy against the Congress government in Rajasthan.
Today the Congress alleged that the investigation revealed by the rebel MLAs were plotting with the BJP against the Rajasthan government.
Bhanwar Lal Sharma and another rebel MLA, Vishwendra Singh has been also suspended by Congress, claiming audio proof that they were involved in the deal-making to dislodge the party's government.
Randeep Surjewala the Congress spokesperson said that the two audio recordings have surfaced in which Mr. Bhanwar Lal Sharma was heard in discussion with the BJP leaders.
Whereas the audiotapes have been circulating online but the Congress did not play them and Mr. Surjewala read out what he called were a transcript of the conversation.
Meanwhile, the Congress has demanded that the allegation be investigated by the Rajasthan police Special Operation Group, which directly reports to CM Ashok Gehlot.
