New Delhi: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi tweeted Saturday, that India will pay a "huge price because of the government's cowardly actions." Rahul Gandhi's tweets comes as a part of an attack that he has been launching over the centre over the violence in Ladakh caused by India-China border face-off.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been accused of "surrendering" to Chinese aggression along the border, by Rsahul Gandhi, who said: "China has taken our land and the Government of India is behaving like Chamberlain. This will further embolden China".
The Congress MP, in his attack also shared a video of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh speaking to soldiers in Ladakh on Friday. The video features the Defence Minister saying that while there is no guarantee talks can resolve tensions, "not an inch of our land can be taken by any power in the world".
Even after government's statements on the Indo-China issue, the Congress party hasn't been convinced and has been repeatedly questioning the government.
PM Modi had said: "Neither is anyone inside our territory nor are any of our posts captured". His office issued a clarification but the Congress interpreted this to mean territory had been yielded to China.
The Congress has been questioning the centre, since 20 Indian soldiers were martyred in a barbaric attack by China in the Galwan Valley, Ladakh.
Rahul Gandhi had accused the centre of misleading people and also attacked the centre with a media report titled "Government Misleading Media on Chinese Disengagement Along LAC"
Both India and China mutually agreed to withdraw their troops with two kilometres. The decision was taken after a high-level military talks over disengagement. This made many question the government about why were Indian soldiers withdrawn from Indian territory.
