Before the 2018 Rajasthan election, Hanuman Beniwal had quit the BJP. He has always been a tough critic of Vasundhra Raje
Satish Punia, BJP's Rajasthan unit chief said they had urged the leader to avoid making controversial statements like that. "Our leaders spoke to him. Vasundhara Raje is our respected leader," Mr Punia said.
The former chief minister of Rajasthan, Mr Raje has been silent on the whole political fiasco in the state. Even BJP made cautious statements on the political mess. Bhartiya Janata Party has also been accussed of extending support to Sachin Pilot' and his rebellion to repeat what happened in Madhya Pradesh.
A BJP meeting on Tuesday that reports said Vasundhara Raje was to attend was cancelled.
Leader of opposition in the Rajasthan assembly, Ghulab Chand Kataria had earlier distanced the party the Gehlot government's floor test. "We do not feel such need (for a floor test) as of now. If we feel the need, the party (BJP) will sit together and make a decision," said Mr Kataria.
The speculations have been lead to believe that Sachin Pilot's rebel camp had weakened, while Ashok Gehlot's situation has improved, clsiming 109 MLAs on his side. In order to stay in power, Mr Gehlot needs the support of 101 MLAs. In order to form a new government, BJP needs thr support of 30 MLA's.
Sachin Pilot has assured the support of 20 MLAs with him. A video released by his team showed 16 MLA's at a hotel in Manesar near Delhi.
achin Pilot and other rebels Congress today challenged in Rajasthan High Court in a move to disqualify them as the MLA in the dramatic move of the party's crisis in Rajasthan. Sachin Pilot's Challenge To Disqualification Notice To Be Heard By Rajasthan High Court At 1 Pm today.
The notices which have served to them by the Rajasthan Speaker CP Joshi yesterday has asked them to explain by Friday the "anti-party activities", which will lead to the disqualification.
