Mr lalu Yadav, politician of Bihar had made a statement of conspiracy theory on which Mr Vinay Katiyar who is a BJP leader appeared to agree today and they are linking the Supreme Court order on LK Advani in the Babri Masjid case to a BJP plan to restrict his presidential prospects.
Mr Advani, 89, and other BJP leaders would be tried for conspiracy charges in the 1992 demolition of the Babri mosque in Ayodhya, said the Supreme Court, Yesterday.
Mr. Lalu Yadav said the court order changed everything and referred to this as a speculation that the BJP patriarch was among the candidates for president.
This came after hours when BJP chief Amit Shah reportedly reassured Mr Advani that "the party is with you".
Mr lalu had said that "There were discussions in past days that Advani would be President...The BJP, RSS and VHP are a dangerous parties. They, very smartly ensured that Advani is out of the race. This is very plain politics. We are not saying this... their own party leaders have said this,".
Mr. Katiyar, responded to that comment and said, "Lalu's idea is his own. Who knows, there could be some truth in his statement.. It could be true, but i don't know yet".
Mr Vinay Katiyar will also face trial for the mosque-razing by hundreds of right wing activists or karsevaks on December 6, 1992, an well known event which changed the face of Indian politics.
