Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal was addressing a rally in Rohtak, Haryana when a young man threw a shoe at him.
Mr Kejriwal was addressing his supporters against demonetisation. Delhi Chief Minister, Mr Kejriwal accused the supporters of the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi for the attack.
Mr Kejriwal tweeted, "I said Modiji is a coward. Today, some of his supporters threw a shoe at me. Modiji, we can also do this but our values don't permit us to." He added that no shoe attacks or CBI raid can stop him from exposing the truth behind demonetization and the Sahara Birla bribery.
This is the second time when the Aam Aadmi Party's national convenor, Arvind Kejriwal has been the target of a shoe attack. Ved Prakash, a 28-year-old man had thrown a shoe at Delhi Chief Minister as he was addressing a press conference on April 10, 2016.
Mr. Kejriwal said on Friday that Mr Modi demanded 50 days for his project but there's no sign of people recovering from its after-effects. In fact AAP has also been one of the fiercest critics of the demonetisation policy implemented by the Prime Minister on November 8, 2016.
Targeting the centre for using central agencies for targeting Delhi government ministers and officials, Mr Kejriwal tweeted, “We are not scared of any probe as we have not done any wrong. Then why are you scared of a probe?"
