Manipur Health Minister L Jayantakumar Singh who was appointed a month ago by BJP led government is resigning from his post, as he is experiencing "interfere" by "many" in his ministry. The CM of Manipur N Biren Singh has not accepted the resignation but this can be a issue for BJP.
Mr Singh's and his party members, the National Peoples' Party (NPP) had been denying the facts of resignation from the last two days but now the ministers and party has admitted that he wish to resign and is waiting for Chief Minister Biren Singh's response.
From past two days his resignation letter is getting circulated on social networking sites, Health Minister Mr Singh was found stating that there is interference in his authority as a minister. "I have been trying to build a vision to the portfolios assigned to me. But there has been many interference to my authority and image as a minister," Mr Jayantakumar wrote in the resignation letter.
Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh is yet to accept the minister's resignation.
After the decision of Health Minister BJP spokesperson and cabinet minister Biswajit Singh said the issue is an "internal matter". And also denied any problems for the government.
Mr Singh became upset after the Director of Health Services, Manipur and State Mission Director, National Health Mission Dr Okram Ibomcha Singh, was placed under suspension. And his concern was not approved for the suspension of member.
