Lucknow’s legendary Tunday’s Kabab Shutters Closed, Because of Scaricity of Meat

Lucknow capital of Uttar Pradesh which is a paradise for food lovers. With the love for Mughalai Cuisine, it is famous for his century old shop of Tunday Kabab. As the new formation of newly elected Bhartiya Janta Party in Uttar Pradesh a new rule was passed for shutting down all the illegal butcher and slaughter houses in the state.

Tunday Kabab was closed on Wednesday, because of shortage of meat, they were having four slaughter houses were already sealed in between 2013 and 2015. But later on they were opened as they stopped serving buffallo meat in the kebabs.

In an interview owner Mohammad Usman said “The shop was shut for the entire day on Wednesday as the meat was not available.” Whereas some of the outlets were open such as outlet of Alambagh and Aminabad, as they offer chicken and mutton Kababs. Whereas the outlet of Akbari Gate was closed as it serves Buffalo meat kababs. Mohammad Usman also added in a statement that supply of chicken and mutton has not been affected but expressed his uneasiness about shortage of meat in state.

As BJP had promised in its election manifesto that they will close all the illegal slaughterhouses and stop smuggling of cattles to help boost of diary industries in the state. CM Yogi Adityanath had started this movement back in 2002 in his constituency.
