Lewandowski Scored Twice, As Bayern Munich 10-point Gap In Bundesliga

Carlo Ancelotti side Bayern Munich extended their lead at the top of the German League to 10 points with a comfortable victory over Eintracht Frankfurt, as their title rivals lost.

Poland striker Robert Lewandowski opened the netting on 38 minutes and winger Douglas Costa doubled the lead two minutes later.

The former Borussia Dortmund forward netted his second of the match after half-time to reach 100 goals for Bayern in his 136th match.

Elsewhere title chasing RB Leipzig and arch-rival Borussia Dortmund both lost ground on Bayern with costly defeats.

Frankfurt skipper Marco Russ came on as a second-half substitute to play in his first Bundesliga match of the season, after recovering from testicular cancer.

Forward Mario Gomez netted the winner as second-placed RB Leipzig lost 1-0 at home to Wolfsburg.

Third-placed Thomas Tuchel side Dortmund, who thrashed Benfica 4-0 on Wednesday to reach the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals, conceded after 11 minutes away to Hertha Berlin as ex-Lille striker Salomon Kalou scored.
