Former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif has joined IPL team Gujrat Lions as their new assistant coach for the tenth edition of the Indian Premier League. The 36 years old cricketer will work with former Australian cricketer and GL (Gujrat Lions) head coach Brad Hodge. The right-handed last played for Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2012.
Gujrat Lions holder Keshav Bansal welcomed the the former Indian batsman into the support staff with a tweet to which the former Uttar Pradesh batsman responded saying he was looking forward to working with an excited group of boys.
The Lions play two times Champions KKR (Kolkata Knight Riders) in their tournament opener on April 7 while their second encounter will be against the defending champions SRH (Sunrises Hyderabad) on April 9.
