Indian talented batsman Karun Nair (39), Rishabh Pant (34) and Kiwi all-rounder Corey Anderson's (41) power-packed performances helped Delhi Daredevils [DD] crush Sunrisers Hyderabad [SRH] by 6 wickets in the 40th game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in Delhi on Tuesday.
The home side started on a positive note by hitting big in the first six overs and kept their required run rate in check. Leading from the front, Nair struck some lusty blows and gave the start his team needed.
Although losing wickets at regular intervals, the Rahul Dravid team stayed calm and overhauled the total in 19.1 overs. The host registered their third victory and won an IPL match after five consecutive losses. For the visistors, Mohammad Siraj finished with figures of 2/41 in his four overs. After this match, Sunrisers still remain at the third position with 13 points while Delhi get two crucial points and still remain in the hunt to make the cut for the play-offs. Pace bowler Mohammad Shami was adjudged the Man of the match.
