Top Court Relief For Uttarakhand Chief Minister, No CBI Investigation For Now
New Delhi: Uttarakhand Chief Minister TS Rawat has got relief from the Top Court, which put on hold the High Court order of the CBI investigation into corruption allegations against him.
Yesterday the High Court verdict came after two petitions were filed by the journalists Umesh Sharma and Shiv Prasad Semwal.In July the journalist had sought the cancellation of the FIR lodged against them.
The case was filed after the journalists, Umesh Sharma, alleged in social media posts that Jharkhand had deposited money into the bank account of the couple related to CM after the demonetization.
The man, Amritesh Chauhan had deposited money into the bank account of Harendra Singh Rawat and his wife Savita Rawat for the personal benefit of CM, claimed the post.
