Sushant Singh Rajput's Father Files Affidavit In Top Court, Says Rhea Chakraborty Wrong in Trying To Transfer Case

New Delhi: Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput's father KK Singh on Saturday moved to the Top Court filing a counter-affidavit against the plea of the Rhea Chakraborty, in which the actress urged the top court to transfer the case from Patna to Mumbai.

KK Singh in the affidavit stated that since the investigation into the FIR has already been transferred to the CBI, Rhea's plea seeking transfer of probe to Mumbai stand s "infructuous"
The apex court meanwhile will hear the petition on August 11 filed by Rhea seeking to transfer the FIR in Sushant Singh Rajput death case from Patna to Mumbai.

The petition to move the case to Mumbai was filed by actress after Sushant's father KK Singh lodged an FIR against her under various sections, including abetment to suicide, at Patna police station.

 Yesterday  Sushant Singh Rajput's girlfriend has been questioned for more than nine hours by the Enforcement Directorate in the Sushant Singh Rajput investigation after her request to put it off was rejected by the agency this morning.

At the agency's office in Mumbai, her brother Showik Chakraborty and former manager Shruti Modi was also questioned in the separate rooms.

Actor Rhea Chakraborty who has denied all the charges had called for the CBI probe earlier but yesterday said that the agency's investigation at this point will be  "totally illegal and beyond any known legal principles, affecting the Federal Structure of the Nation."

The Top Court is hearing Rhea Chakraborty's petition to transfer the Bihar case to Maharashtra where the Mumbai Police has been investigating whether late actor was pushed to despair by Bollywood clique and rivalries.

The ED had filed a money laundering case over "suspicious transactions" worth Rs 15 crore in the connection with the death of the Bollywood actor last week.

After the agency took note of FIR by Bihar Police the case was filled, which is investigating the actor's death and the financial transaction based on the complaint by his family.

Sources in the agency had told that it had registered an ECIR on Friday and that it would "look into the allegation of suspicious transactions in the bank account of the actor. Suspected persons will be issued summons early next week to join the probe".

In Mumbai police from Bihar's Patna have camped for the past week, inquiring into transactions and investments of two companies set up by Mr. Rajput with his girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty, and her brother.
