Supreme Court Verdict On Farm Laws Says, "We Will Form Committee"

New Delhi: The Supreme Court today told the central government that they have the power to suspend the farm laws of the year 2020 at the peak of massive farmer protests in National Capital and will form a committee to solve the crisis.

"These are matters of life and death. We are concerned with laws. We are concerned with lives and property of people affected by the agitation. We are trying to solve the problem in the best way. One of the powers we have is to suspend the legislation," Chief Justice SA Bobde said.

"We want to solve the problem and that's why we are making the committee. Give the names to us, we will decide," he added.

Earlier to this, The Supreme Court asked the central government whether to end the implementation of three controversial farm laws due to ongoing farmer protests in Delhi borders, and added tell us whether you will put the laws on hold or else we will do it.
