New Delhi: India’s Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal Saturday appealed to the Centre to provide COVID-19 vaccine free to indians.
“Coronavirus is the century’s biggest pandemic. It is important to protect our people from it. I appeal to the Central government to ensure that everyone gets free vaccine. The expenditure on this will save lots of lives,” Arvind Kejriwal tweeted in Hindi.
करोना सदी की सबसे बड़ी महामारी है। अपने लोगों को इस से सुरक्षित करना बेहद ज़रूरी है।— Arvind Kejriwal (@ArvindKejriwal) January 9, 2021
मेरा केंद्र सरकार से निवेदन है कि करोना की वैक्सीन सभी देशवासियों को मुफ़्त लगवायी जाए। इस पर होने वाला खर्च ढेरों भारतीयों की जान बचाने में सहायक होगा।
The Delhi government has already announced that the coronavirus vaccine, whenever it is available, will be provided free to people in the national capital.
“The Delhi government is fully prepared to receive, store and administer COVID-19 vaccine to 51 lakh priority category persons in the city in the first phase of vaccination. The vaccine will be provided free to everyone on Delhi,” Health Minister Satyendra Jain had said
Earlier Arvind Kejriwal said that the coronavirus vaccine when one is finally ready should be available to all Indians for free, amid continuing controversy over the ruling BJP listing free coronavirus vaccines in its manifesto for next week's Bihar election."The whole country should get the free vaccine, the whole country has the right..." said Mr. Kejriwal while inaugurating a new flyover in Delhi's Shastri Park and Seelampur neighborhoods.
