Indian Cricketers Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli Pays Tribute To Martyrs Killed In 26/11 Attack
New Delhi: Twelve years ago, Mumbai witnessed a attack on 26/11 that lasted for four days, 166 people were dead and 300 people were injured.
On the 12th anniversary of the Mumbai terror attack, Indian cricket caption Virat Kohli paid tribute to the people and to the Martyrs who lost their lives in the attacks.
“Remembering the innocent lives we lost and our bravehearts who saved many during the 26/11 attacks. You will always be remembered and will forever be in our hearts,” Virat tweeted.

Former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar too tweeted saying, “The wounds may have healed, but the scars remain. Of the lives lost and the sacrifices made. These shall always be a reminder of the strength of human spirit to overcome any act of adversity. Remembering all our martyrs on this day. #MumbaiTerrorAttack,”

On 26 November, 2008, 10 heavily armed Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists from Pakistan attacked Mumbai. The deadly attack took place in most crowded locations in Oberoi-Trident Hotel, Taj Mahal Palace, Tower Hotel, a Jewish cultural centre - Chabad House at Nariman Point, Leopold Cafe and Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus railway station, the main railway station and Cama Hospital.
The attack was comprised with shooting and bombing which lasted for long four days. Nine terrorists were killed during the terror attack. Mohammed Ajmal Kasab was captured alive and executed in November 2012.
