"India Will Emerge As A Major Hub For Global Space Economy," Says K Sivan, ISRO Chief
New Delhi: ISRO Chief K Sivan today addressed the nation and talked about the global space economy said that the Department of Space will promote sector space activities to enable it to provide end to end space services, including building & launching of rockets & satellites as well as providing space-based services on a commercial basis.
Also, K Sivan said that if the space sector will be opened for the private enterprises the potential of the entire country will be utilized to scale up benefits from space technology.Also, the ISRO chief said that It'll not only result in the accelerated growth of the sector but also enable the Indian industry to be an important player in the global space economy".

Mr. Sivan also said that privatization is an opportunity for larger-scale employment in the technology sector and India is becoming a global technology powerhouse.
Emphasizing on the privatization the ISRO chief said that the private sector can play a larger role than be just supplier of parts and components. Allowing the private sector to take part in space programs is a significant reform.
