India-China 5th Round Of Corps Commander-Level Talks Today
New Delhi: The fifth round of corps commander-level talks will be now be held on Sunday amidst Chinese troops showing no signs of pulling back from Pangong Tso and Depsang Plain in the eastern Ladakh while continuing to increase deployments along the Line of Actual Control right till Arunachal Pradesh
India will focus on the "complete disengagement" by China in Ladakh's Finger area in a fresh round of the diplomatic talks to scale down the tension along the de facto border, confirmed the army sources today.
The standoff at the Patrolling Point 17A at Gogra, where the disengagement between the Indian and the Chinese troops has not taken place yet, is also likely to be a feature in the fifth round of Corps Commander level talks.
In eastern Ladakh, Pangong Tso area the Chinese troops have strengthened their position between Finger 5 and 8. India is likely to take this up at the meeting today. Whereas the previous talk took place on July 14.
China might have claimed that the disengagement in most friction points is complete but India's maintain not much has changed at Gorga and Pangong Tso lake for over a fortnight said the sources.
"Disengagement is still not complete in Pangong and Gogra areas. Some thinning of troops has happened but not much has changed," an official said.
Earlier the Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin had said that disengagement is complete in three points.

The Chinese have been enhancing their strength bringing additional boats that the friction areas of the Pangong Lake and setting up the new huts to accommodate more troops even as the disengagement set in.
The Indian troo[s are between Finger 3 and Finger 2 on the bank of the lock. As per the sources, there are still no signs of the Chinese army dismantling the structure they had set up between Finger 8 and Finger 4.

Senior Military commander of the two armies has held four rounds of talks on disengagement of troops from the friction point the eastern Ladakh so far.
