First Batch Of Rafales Fighter Aircraft To Takeoff From France For India| Updates
New Delhi: Five Rafale fighter aircraft will take off from France's Ister airbase on Monday for India in a massive boost for Indian armed forces.
The Rafale jets will be flown by the Indian Air Force(IAF) pilots and these jets will stop at the Al Dhafra airbase in UAE for refueling.
The five Rafale fighter aircraft will land at the Ambala Air Force Station in Indian on Wednesday after covering a distance of almost 7,364 kilometers.

The five Rafale is the first batch of 36 supersonic omnirole combat aircraft that India is buying from France. In France, till now 12 IAF pilots have completed their training on the Rafale fighter and a few more are in the advanced phase of their training.
As per the contract between Indian and France, the two countries a total of 39 IAF pilots are to be trained on the Rafale combat jest by French aviation.Also, most of the IAF pilots will be trained in France, some of them will undergo the exercise in India.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on June 2, held a telephonic conversation with his French counterpart Florence Parly during which she conveyed that the Rafale jets will be delivered to India as scheduled notwithstanding the coronavirus in France.
The aircraft is capable of carrying a range of potent weapons.MBDA's European missile maker Metro beyond visual range air-t0-air missile and SCALP air-to-ground cruise missile will be the mainstay of the weapon package of the Rafale jets.
Out of the 36 Rafales jets,30 will be fighter jets and six will be trainers. The trainer jets will between seater and they will have almost all the feature of the fighter jets
