At least 900 people who came in contact with a coronavirus positive doctor in Delhi have been quarantined for 14 days, Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain told news agency ANI this morning.

New Delhi: City Minister informed on Thursday, that after a doctor of a mohalla (community) clinic in Delhi, Maujpur was tested positive for novel coronavirus, 800 people who came in contact with him have been quarantined.
They have all been isolated for 14 days, Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain told news agency ANI. He added that the number of COVID-19 cases in Delhi has climbed to 36, which are rising rapidly.
The doctor and four others including his wife and teen daughter tested positive for the virus on Wednesday. Health Minister Satyendar Jain said that it is highly possible that they contracted the virus from an infected woman who returned from Saudi Arabia.
The woman reportedly visited the clinic about two weeks ago. Some 74 persons in her neighborhood are also under watch and quarantined.
Mohalla clinics are community health centers set up by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Delhi mainly for the economically weaker section.
Spread of the coronavirus in Maujpur, North East Delhi, which was incidentally among the areas worst hit by the Delhi violence, would be catastrophic.
District officials have ordered the patients who visited the mohalla clinic between March 12 and 18 to must stay in home quarantine for 15 days as a precautionary measure.
On Wednesday, 90 new coronavirus cases were reported in India, pushing the total number of cases to 606, while the number of deaths was 10, according to the Union Health Ministry. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday evening announced a national lockdown through a televised broadcast, for 21 days and said no one must leave their homes in that period.
