Delhi Govt Tells High Court On COVID: Curfew Under "Consideration", No Decision Yet
New Delhi: The court had asked if the government is planning to impose night curfews or weekend curfews. No decision on any kind of curfew yet, under "consideration" depending on Covid situation, Delhi government tells High Court.
Yesterday, the Union home ministry issued fresh guidelines for states to follow strict rules and guidelines especially within containment zones and hotspots starting from December 1. The final decision, however, has been left to the states.
Delhi has been in the top for highest raising numbers of cases. The wave in the national capital had started at the end of October and reached to peak this month.
Seeing the coronavirus situation, Delhi has refused permission for a rally of farmers protesting against the Centre's new farm laws.
