New Delhi: The nationwide tally of coronavirus cases crossed 56,000 on Thursday with big urban centres like Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi and Ahmedabad which reported in the more rising number of people tested positive for the pandemic virus.
Since Wednesday morning more than 5,000 new cases have been registered across the country. On Friday morning sixteen migrant labourer was run over by a train in Maharashtra. The group of 21 labourers were walking along the rail tracks and slept on the tracks due to exhaustion, said the police.

Informing reporters that 3,561 new coronavirus cases are reported and 1,084 patients have recovered in 24 hours since Wednesday morning, he asserted that "in comparison with other countries, India is in a better state because the death rate is 3.3 per cent and recovery rate is 28.83 per cent."
