India is one of the most picturesque countries across the world painted with the colours of snowfall in Kashmir to bright sun in Goa. At the moment if you take a look at Jammu and Kashmir, then this is how you will see the peaks of Himalayan Range dressed in white:
This is the white blanket that is causing Kashmir to have a magic spell over the country. You must have heard about Kashmir as ‘Heaven on Earth’ but these images will make you go mad about the place and you might fall in love with Kashmir too. The weather at this moment in Kashmir is indeed startling and tourists are making the most of it.
Kashmir has proven itself as the heavenly kingdom once again but the heavy snowfall is causing some problems to the travellers too. The Jammu-Srinagar national highway has been closed for vehicular traffic and the Kashmir University has postponed all examinations.
The paradise like city is surrounded by threats of terrorism too. This has caused reduction in the number of tourists visiting Kashmir every year. While around three lakh tourists visited the blissful region in 2004, the statistics went up with around 15 lakh tourists who visited Kashmir last year. Considering the weather, the number of tourists might not reduce as compared to the last year.
Special Thanks to Mirza Abbas for startling pictures.
