No one has achieved the heights on which Elvis Presley was. A guy born in two-room shotgun house in working class family. He grew up to be one of the biggest names in the world of Rock and Roll music. Presley was born on 8th January 1935. He used to attend the Assembly of God with his parents, where he was influenced by gospel music.
Because of his unusual music style, provocative gyrating hips and his hot looks, he developed a huge fan following. After of his first single “That’s all right” in 1955, he signed with RCA records. He was on roll, scoring his first number one single “Heartbreak Hotel” and then he signed a movie with Paramount Pictures “Love me Tinder(1956)” it was a box office hit. Soon after that he had to join Army in 1957, after serving in army for 3 years. He resumed his career and the rest is history.
You can imagine the heights of his legacy, writer Lester Bangs said “I can guarantee you one thing – we will never again agree on anything as we agreed on Elvis.”
