Former legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar has been travelling around the country to promote the upcoming movie, “Sachin: A Billion Dreams.” While promoting the film which is based on his life and career, the Master Blaster recently posted a photo on his social media account with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“Briefed our Hon’ble PM @narendramodi about the movie #SachinABillionDreams & received his blessings, (sic.)” said the cricketing legend on his post.
After this PM too responded on twitter and wrote,”Had a very good meeting with @sachin_rt. His life journey & accomplishments make every Indian proud & inspire 1.25 billion people.”
It may be recalled here that prior, PM Narendra Modi on Sunday cited Sachin Tendulkar as an example for students to contend with oneself and not with others, the 2003 World Cup Golden bat winner thanked him and stressed that formation is key for everyone, be it a student or a player.
“Thank you @PMOIndia for the mention. Establishment is key for everyone… be it a student or a player. Target makes the challenge less daunting,” The 44-year-old said in a tweet.
His tweet was in response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioning him in his ‘Mann ki Baat’ broadcast marked at students preparing for upcoming exams.
“Look at the life of @sachin_rt. He kept challenging himself and bettered his own records. That is what is inspiring,” the PM later tweeted.
PM asked students to choose ‘anuspardha’ (competing with self) over ‘pratispardha’ (competing with others) as he gave the former Mumbai Indians batsman example saying he kept challenging himself and exceeded his records.
