The former interior minister Rehman Malik of Pakistan on Saturday fell for a April Fool's Day prank. A fake story was published which claims to rename the airport situated in Islamabad to Chinese President Xi Jinping.
This prank started by "The Express Tribune", as they started to ran a story on its website that the government of Pakistan has decided to rename a new airport situated in the capital after the name of Chinese leader.
Hours later after the prank, Mr Malik have a very furious reaction who expressed 'serious reservations' over it as the airport is named after late Pakistan Peoples Party leader Benazir Bhutto.
He also warned the government that his party would take the issue to an 'extreme level' if it tried to the rename the airport.
"There is no precedent in the past to rename organisations which are named after national heroes," he said.
He also asked the government for a clarification.
