New US President Donald Trump’s anti-immigration policies and his plans to build a wall along the border with Mexico received a hit by Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg today.
Donald Trump has also signed executive orders for the Mexico border wall to block refugees from nations like Iran, Iraq, Libya and Syria. In just the first seven days of his presidency, he has done something that is raising many eyebrows.
Mark Zuckerberg wrote in a Facebook post, “"Like many of you, I'm concerned about the impact of the recent executive orders signed by President Trump.
We need to keep this country safe, but we should do that by focusing on people who actually pose a threat."
The Facebook CEO also said that US is a nation of immigrants hence these plans of Donald Trump sounds hollow to him. His own great-grandparents had come to the US from Germany, Austria and Poland and his wife Priscilla Chan's parents were refugees from China and Vietnam.
Mr Zuckerberg also said that if the refugees were turned away a few decades ago then Priscilla’s family wouldn’t be here today.
