New Delhi: Veteran singer SP Balasubrahmanyam's health has deteriorated in the last 24 hours, confirms the hospital authorities. The singer earlier was admitted to Chennai's MGM Healthcare hospital on August 5 after developing mild symptoms of the deadly novel coronavirus.
Ever since he has been battling fluctuating health conditions. The hospital authorities have released a fresh health bulletin informing that the legendary singer is extremely critical and already on Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and other life support measures.
A team of expert doctors is treating the national award-winning singer SP Balasubrahmanyam.
Fans and celebrities across the glove including Rajnikanth, Kamal Haasan, A R Rahman have been praying for the speedy recovery of the singer.
The singer at the time of being admitted put out the video saying he has mild coronavirus symptoms and that he would recover soon and assured fans of his good health.
S P Charan has been sharing health updates about his father on social media and was optimistic these last few weeks. He a day ago wrote on Instagram that S P Balasubrahmanyam was making "steady progress" and was undergoing physiotherapy. SPB was "eager to leave the hospital as early as possible," S P Charan wrote.
