Anil Kapoor Confirms His COVID-19 Test Report, Says I Have Tested Negative

New Delhi: Earlier reports suggested that Bollywood Actor Anil Kapoor had tested positive for the novel Coronavirus. Clearing the rumours of report, he shared in a statement on his twitter handle, “In the interest of putting any rumours to rest, I have tested negative for COVID-19.Thankyou all for your concern and good wishes.”

Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani and Prajakta Koli recently jetted off for the shooting of director Raj Mehta's next titled ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’. As per report, it is said that two members from the main cast have tested positive for COVID-19. A source close to the film had informed Filmfare that Neetu Kapoor, Varun Dhawan and director Raj Mehta have tested positive for the coronavirus and the current shooting has been put on hold. Reports revealed that Anil Kapoor too had tested positive for the virus, but his brother Boney Kapoor told ETimes that, "Anil has tested negative." Anil Kapoor is on his way back to Mumbai now.

The film is starring Kiara Advani, Maniesh Paul and Prajakta Koli. While Maniesh recently joined them in Chandigarh, Kiara and Prajakta had jetted off along with Neetu, Varun and Anil from the private airport in Mumbai last month. Even the first look of the film was released last month featuring Varun and Kiara. 

Back in November, Neetu Kapoor had shared a picture from the airport as the team headed to their first outdoor shoot. “My first flight, in these scary times !! Nervousss for this journey !! While Kapoor Sahab, you aren’t here holding my hand, I know you are with me .. #RnR thank you for encouraging me to do this.. #jugjuggjeeyo P.S. - We are all Covid tested and safe, hence removed mask while taking picture,” the actress had captioned.
