Atal Vakya: The Memorable Speeches Of Former PM, Atal Bihari Vajpayee

New Delhi: 16th August marks the death anniversary of former Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He was the 10th Prime Minister of India, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who passed away at the age of 93.

The former Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee died at the age of 93. A seven-day mourning has been observed in the honour of Mr. Vajpayee. The legendary leader had been on life-support since Wednesday night. According to the hospital,  Atal Bihari Vajpayee's condition worsened over the past 24 hours.

Mr. Vajpayee served thrice as the Prime Minister of India. His first term lasted for 13 days first for a term of 13 days in 1996, next term was for a period of eleven months from 1998 to 1999, and then from 1998 to 2004.

Mr. Vajpayee was not just a great leader, but a legendary poet too.In 2014, He recieved India's highest civilian honor, the Bharat Ratna, by the President of India. In 2014, the Modi government announced that Vajpayee's birthday, 25 December, would be marked as Good Governance Day.
