New Delhi: India today logged 2 lakh cases of COVID-19 roughly 15 days after it crossed the one lakh mark. The country has been reporting more than 8,000 for the last three days. This morning it reported 8,171 cases.
Besides,204 deaths were reported taking the number of fatalities to 5,598. The country is currently the seventh among the 10 worts hit nation by the virus.
The US with more than 18 lakh cases, is the nation's worst hit by the virus, followed by Brazil, with more than 5.2 lakh. While among the states, Maharashtra remains the nation's coronavirus hotspot with more than 70,000

1-PM Modi on Monday issued another warning against those assaulting and abusing doctors, nurses, and others on the frontlines of the fight to contain the virus.PM said that "I want to state it clearly - violence, abuse and rude behavior against front-line workers is not acceptable".
2-Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has sealed borders for a week, only those involved in essential services and government passes will be allowed to cross.Mr.kejriwal, who last week said that the Delhi was "four steps ahead of the coronavirus", said that while the increase in cases was a concern, residents of the capital should not panic.
