New Delhi: AAP spokesperson said Monday, Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi Chief Minister has self-isolated himself after developing mild fever and sore throat. He added, Kejriwal is also likely to experience the COVID-19 test.
COVID-19 cases surpassed 2.56 lakh cases on Monday, In India, after a record number of 9,983 cases were registered in 24 hours, even as the government permitted a number of relaxations after over two months of lockdown.
This is the biggest single-day jump in cases as the country recorded over 9,000 cases for the sixth consecutive day. India is also the fifth worst-hit nation by the deadly virus in the world.
Amidst the rush in cases, India has opened the doors of public places like malls and places of spiritual importance today. Besides coming up with their lists of dos and don’ts for the people, authorities have ensured that premises of religious places, restaurants and malls have been cleaned and provisions for adherence to social distancing and other protocols been made.
Malls, hotels, and restaurants; places of worship; schools and colleges, all have been allowed to open in a phased manner over the next couple of months.
