RBI Revises Real GDP Growth Projection For 2020-21 To -7.5%

New Delhi: The Reserve Bank of India has revised the real GDP growth projection for 2020-21 from  -9.5% to -7.5 percent, said Governor Shaktikanta Das in an online briefing at the end of the meeting of the Monetary Policy Committee.

Also, the central bank maintained an "accommodative" stance of the policy, which rules out any hikes for now, and decided to continue with the current stance.

The RBI's Monetary Policy Committee maintained the key lending rate unchanged at 4 percent on Friday, holding the rates at the existing level for the third straight review.

Also, the status quo on the monetary policy was expected by most of the economists, amid the high level of inflation and the country's shrinking gross domestic product
