Australia vs Pakistan : Day – 1 stumps , Brisbane Test 

Australia were on the driving seat against Pakistan on the first test day - 1 in Brisbane on Thursday . Australia skipper, Steve Smith scored a century ( 110* runs )  while Peter Handscomb ( 64* runs ) and Matt Renshaw ( 71 runs  ) scored half centuries .

Australia scored 288/3 in 90 overs at the stumps . Earlier in the day Australia openers David Warner and Renshaw started very well for Aussies . They stood 70 runs partnership for 1st wicket.  Warner scored 32 runs in 70 balls . At 75 runs at the score board Australia lost their second wicket in the face of Usman Khawaja .After 75/2 Australia took their score board 151/3 where Aussies 3rd wicket fall .

For Pakistan leg spinner Yasir Shah , seamer Mohammad Amir and Wahab Riaz took one wicket each .In the last session of the day, Pakistan bowler Amir got injured in his right knee . But after 30 minutes the left armer got back to the field .
